Successfully represented the interests of an electricity exporter client

FEDOTOV & PARTNERS successfully protected the interests of an electricity exporter, recovering over 27,000 EUR from a foreign counterparty through a pre-trial claim process for breach of an EFET contract.

assisted an electricity supplier exporting power from Ukraine to Slovakia in recovering damages from a foreign counterparty.

The client approached us with an issue where their foreign counterparty, an electricity trader in Slovakia, failed to take the necessary steps to properly accept the exported electricity. As a result of this breach, the client was forced to sell the electricity intended for export on the balancing market in Ukraine, incurring losses of over 27,000 EUR.

Leveraging the expertise of the FEDOTOV & PARTNERS team in international electricity trading and the practical application of the EFET framework agreement, we prepared a well-founded claim and conducted negotiations with the client's foreign counterparty. The core argument establishing the causal link between the foreign company's actions and our client's losses was the proof of failure of acceptance, which constitutes a breach of the EFET framework agreement.

As a result of our work, the client received compensation for the losses caused by the foreign counterparty's actions—totaling over 27,000 EUR—within just a few business days.
